The Office of the Ombudsman, Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC), and Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner is seeking to fill the position of Intake Officer.
A key responsibility of this position is to receive and manage all intakes coming into the Office. The Intake Officer receives all enquiries from the public and helps the public understand the role and mandates of the Office. The Intake Officer ensures the information provided is accurate and that complaints, disclosures or reviews received are within the Office’s jurisdiction under the Ombudsman Act, Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Health Information Privacy and Management Act or Public Interest Disclosure of Wrongdoing Act. The Intake Officer also manages the case opening procedure and works with team members to ensure timelines are tracked.
Other responsibilities of this position are to perform as registrar of adjudications conducted by the IPC and to resolve less complex matters before the Office. This position also provides administrative support as necessary.
